Old Highway Rows of Cedar Trees
Hakone Town, Ashigara-Shimogun, Kanagawa Prefecture
It is said that the row of cedar trees along the Old Tokaido Highway on the shore of Lake Ashinoko were planted in Year 4 of the Genna Era (1618), when the Hakone post station was built. There are currently 409 trees. In addition, the paving stones along the Old Hakone Highway are designated as historical landmarks.

Chokozan Shotai-ji Temple Drooping Cherry Tree
Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture On the hill behind Shotai-ji Temple is a drooping cherry tree said to be over 320 years old. Approximately 13 m high and with a trunk whose circumference is close to 5 m, the large tree is included in the list of Kanagawa's Best 100 Trees.

Odawara Bessho Bairin

With approximately 35,000 white plums, Odawara is famous for its plum production. Each February, the plums bloom against the backdrop of the sacred mountain Fuji and the mountains of Hakone, creating a dream-like world.
