Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise’s “Petting Lagoon” opened July 27th (Fri). Through encounters with ocean creatures, visitors can experience a special type of “emotion” and “healing” in a totally new style of aquarium.
The lagoon is divided into three zones: “Whale Ocean,” “Finfoot Beach,” and “Fish Reef.” Designed so that its inhabitants can live in a carefree fashion, the lagoon places great importance on heart-to-heart connections between sea creatures and people and allows mutual communication to take place.
