April 29 ~ May 5 : Carp Streamers Koinobori Sagami River
Five wires are stretched across the Sagami River, which runs through the middle of Kanagawa, and roughly 1,200 carp streamers are hoisted up to blow in the wind.
Carp streamers have long been a tradition in Japan to pray for children to grow up healthy and strong.
