Makuyama Park

Makuyama Park Makuyama was formed by the eruption of Hakone volcano, and has a very unique appearance, showing its rocky surface on some parts of the mountain, the symbol of Yugawara. Makuyama Park is landscaped with a beautiful river, and you can enjoy many flowers throughout the year. Especially noteworthy are 4,000 Japanese plum trees, which bloom in February, when the Japanese plum blossom festival is held.

Manyo Park, Doppo no Yu and Kogome Spa

Manyo Park, Doppo no Yu and Kogome SpaBird song echoes through the groves of trees in this natural park. There is also a monument to the writer Doppo Kunigida, making the park a worthwhile visit for encountering both nature and culture. One of Japan's largest footbath facilities is located here, nicknamed “Doppo no Yu.” Why not make your day trip complete by experiencing a variety of hot springs with a visit to the Kogome spa set on a hill overlooking the town?

Yugawara Spa Yugawara is mentioned in a verse of "Manyoshu"collection of poetry:"Yugawara's seething springs Surge upwards night and day;" From ancient times, the waters of Yugawara spa have been known to be effective for many illnesses.

Kanagawa Prefectural Manazuru Nature Park
(with primeval forest spreading down to the shore, ensuring abundant fish catches)

Kanagawa Prefectural Manazuru Nature Park The forest has been designated as a prefectural nature park and has black pine and camphor trees growing lush and high. There are many hiking courses through the forest and you can enjoy the fresh forest air accompanied with the sound of birdsong.

Three Rock Formation

Three Rock Formation This is a formation of three rocks extending about 200m out into the ocean off the point of Cape Manazuru. The shape is similar to a "Kasa (umbrella)"and the formation is also known as Kasajima Island. At low tide, you can walk out to the rocks.
