About Kanagawa Tourist Information Centers

There are a total of nine different information centers. These centers offer support to tourists by providing information about a number of topics including sightseeing facilities, lodging facilities, and events. A variety of maps and pamphlets are also readily available.
So that visitors are able to obtain the information that they need when they need it, these information hubs are operated as "Private Tourism Information Centers" and enriched through the cooperation of private businesses such as sightseeing, lodging, and commercial institutions as well as transportation facilities.

*As of February 2007, internet terminals able to handle 30 different languages have been installed in the Sakuragicho, Shin-Yokohama, and Industry & Trade Center Information Centers. Using your own language, readily access the newest tourism information available.

Also available in Kanagawa Prefecture are the services of the KSGG and OHSGG, Goodwill Guide Organizations. These organizations were formed by individual Goodwill Guides through the support of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) and Kanagawa Prefecture. The two groups support travelers from all over the world through their language skills and warm hospitality.

The Kanagawa Prefecture antenna shop “Kanagawa Shop” Products and Sightseeing Plaza is located along with the Kanagawa Tourist Information Center (Visit Japan Information Network) on the first floor of the Silk Center, near the Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal. This popular shop displays and sells a number of local foods and craftwork from the many areas of Kanagawa Prefecture.
