JR East Pass

This ticket can be used by foreigners visiting Japan for sightseeing. It allows unlimited travel (reserved seats in ordinary cars) on all JR East lines; all Izukyu lines; limited express trains (including shinkansen), express trains, and ordinary trains on all Hokuetsu Express lines; "Nikko," "Spacia Nikko," "Kinugawa," and "Spacia Kinugawa." There are three types of tickets to choose from, depending on how long you plan to visit.

There are two versions: ordinary and green car. The JR East Pass can be purchased within Japan or before arriving in Japan, then redeemed after arrival. Please visit the website for more information.

You can choose between 5 days, 10 days, or the convenient Flexible 4 days.

On sale all year round. However, this pass is only available to foreign tourists visiting Japan on a short-stay visa. It can also be purchased by persons of Japanese citizenship who are residing abroad with permanent residency status or who are married to a foreign citizen who does not live in Japan.

To purchase the JR East Pass, you must present your passport and return ticket.
It is only available to foreign travelers (people not of Japanese citizenship) visiting Japan on a short-stay visa.
